Research Interests
Dr. Vestal’s research interests include the effects of aging on drug metabolism, drug response, and drug interactions. These affect drug treatment in elderly patients and, along with studies of adverse drug reactions and therapeutic drug utilization, broadly define geriatric clinical pharmacology as a field of medical research.
Dr. Vestal has retired from his position as Staff Physician and Associate Chief of Staff for Research and Development, Veterans Administration Medical Center, Boise ID.
